Back when I was at Berkeley, there would sometimes be some crazy extremist religious-folk in the central quad area with signs condemning homosexuality. I was walking by them with my (at the time) boyfriend when we decided to hold our own mini counter-protest. I yelled, "hey you religious fuck" to get the wacko's attention, and then me and the boyfriend started making out. We got some nice applause from the assembled Berkeley folk around at the time.

As much fun as posting all the "kinda funny but really just pseudo porn videos" and the "totally silly but really hilarious videos" it's posts like this that I really enjoy. Here is a very well done, persuasive ad from MTV about gay marriage. I don't know when this was running or how heavily a rotation it was on, but it would probably make for a slightly better world if more people saw it.

Gay Robot Full Episode

Gay Robot was a show based off of an Adam Sandler comedy routine. They made a pilot, which you can watch below, but as far as I know the show isn't going anywhere. I think it's a little too un-P.C.. The main character is a gay robot, who spends most of the episode chasing after hot frat boys.

The premise is as follows: Gay Robot is a sentient, ambulatory contraption that lives on a college campus and develops ardent and predatory gay crushes on the handsome frat boys he hangs out with. The contraption was built by a college professor who “accidentally spilled a wine cooler on its motherboard”, prompting “the whole thing to turn out gay.”

So far it sounds really terrible, right? Trust me, it gets worse. Gay Robot talks in a metallic lisp and says things like “I like penis. I like balls. I like semen smoothies.”

Will and Grace Bloopers

At least for me, this was the first BIG GAY SHOW that entered my consciousness. I was cognizant of the Ellen coming out, but I had never watched the show, and didn't catch that episode. I'm not sure if there were other mainstream queer shows before Will and Grace, but I wasn't aware of them. Here is a bunch of clips strung together of comic pratfalls and inadvertent laughter-breaking-character from the show.

P.S. In my more foolish days, I posed for one of our group fraternity pictures with my balls hanging out, and then proceeded to show it to my (at the time) supervisor.

1 in 10 Gay Argentinian Beer Commercial

What I like about this commercial is how insecure all the straights are and how relaxed and cool the homo is about it. It reminds me of the original version of the Snickers Football ad, which in my mind was portraying the mechanics as homophobic imbeciles.
